The Family Foundation School is a teen therapeutic boarding school that blends therapy with academics and helps students deal with mental health issues such as ADD, ADHD, ODD, substance abuse, depression, self-injury, sexual addiction, promiscuity, compulsions and addictions and eating disorders. The therapy and recovery process at The Family Foundation School is highly structured and safe for students who are working through their issues. Academics is important at The Family Foundation School and serves grades 9-12 with a college prep emphasis.
Licensed Faculty at School
The clinical staff at The Family Foundation School includes workers with Ph.D’s, licensed social workers with master’s degrees, and therapists with advanced degrees of counseling. The academic staff includes licensed teachers and even some college professors that are associated with the program.
Student Activities Available
Activities available at The Family Foundation School focus on both athletics and the arts. Competitive athletic teams include boy’s and girl’s soccer, boy’s and girl’s basketball, girl’s softball, boy’s golf and co-ed cross country. The performing and visual arts activities at The Family Foundation School includes plays, musicals and stage crew duties, as well as music lessons, choir and orchestra. Dance classes, such as jazz, ballet and tap, are also offered. Outdoor activities available to students include hiking, fishing, gardening, wilderness survival camping, canoeing, kayaking, skateboarding and dog training.
