Forest Heights Lodge is a residential treatment center located in the Rocky Mountains, a pristine environment for teenage boys who struggle to overcome the challenges associated with a range of conditions such as anxiety, bipolar, ADD/ADHD, ODD, depression, mood disorders, attachment issues, abuse, Asperger’s, learning disabilities and learning disorders. This private, non-profit facility houses 24 boys at a time and the staff focuses on each boy’s academic, spiritual and physical health as part of the treatment model. With a ratio of 1:6, the professional staff at Forest Heights Lodge focus on the student’s strengths and teaches him how to cope with challenges in daily life.
Licensed Faculty at School
Among the staff and faculty at Forest Heights Lodge are licensed clinical social workers, master’s in social work, master’s in special education, master’s in counseling psychology, doctor of psychology, medical doctors, and registered nurses.
Student Activities Available
At Forest Heights Lodge, boys can participate in a range of activities including camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing, skateboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking and sports. The focus on recreational therapy teaches boys decision making skills and positive sportsmanship/community skills.
