California Family Life Center operates five youth homes throughout Southern California that treat abused, abandoned and addicted teens. Besides offering a safe, nurturing environment, troubled teens participate in therapy, academics and community service opportunities. CFLC works with youth job training centers to help teach job skills to those 16 and older. Alternative school opportunities also allow deficient teens to catch up to their peers academically and even prep for college, if desired. Teens are also taught life skills, such as budgeting, cooking and exercising for health.
Licensed Faculty at School
Among the caring staff and faculty at the CFLC’s five youth homes, there are many licensed social workers that help teens in therapy, learn life skills and negotiate the transition to productive, healthy, happy adults.
Student Activities Available
Activities for youth in CFLC homes include a heavy emphasis on academics and job training. Students are given opportunities to participate in athletics, camping, hiking, sporting events, animal husbandry, horticulture, exercise, nutrition and recreation.
