Breakthrough Recovery Outreach is a teen residential center specializing in helping kids overcome substance abuse and mental health challenges. The adolescent program is structured so that teens can get the right therapy in a safe and nurturing environment away from bad influences. The facility is highly structured and focuses on group and individual therapy. Teen residents also get therapeutic programming, planned activities and community-based 12-step meetings for addiction recovery. Teens are also given time to get individualized schooling so they can keep up academically.
Licensed Faculty at School
The clinical staff at Breakthrough Recovery Outreach includes five medical doctors of psychiatry, a registered nurse, several licensed family therapists, several licensed music therapists, and an anger management specialist.
Student Activities Available
Besides spending up to three hours on academics, students at Breakthrough Recovery Outreach can participate in a range of health and wellness activities, including yoga , kickboxing and working out in a state-of-the-art exercise gym. There are also therapy sessions and various 12-Step meetings. On occasion, participants can go to events in the metro-Atlanta community and on Sunday, church attendance is expected.
