CooperRiis Healing Community, with a capacity of 60 residents, helps older teens and young adults who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive or anxiety disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, or personality disorders, including borderline or avoidant personality disorder. With a two-phase treatment approach, CooperRiis Healing Community helps people manage their conditions and become independent again. Averaging 6-9 months for each stay, residents engage in psychotherapy, group therapy, family support and education, wellness counseling, psycho-education, and ongoing psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring.
