Sweetwater Adolescent Girls Program is a substance abuse and addiction treatment facility where teen girls can spend 90 days in a safe, healing atmosphere with professionals on hand to help them identify the issues of co-occurring disorders along with the substance abuse. Often, the underlying issues are depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, ADD/ADHD, eating disorders, grief and loss or family conflict. Blending therapy with an accredited education program, Sweetwater Adolescent Girls Program allows teens to recover from alcoholism, drugs or other addictions without getting too far behind in school.
Licensed Faculty at School
At the Sweetwater Adolescent Girls Program, faculty and staff have earned a range of degrees and licenses designed to help teen girls. These include a medical degree with a specialization in adolescent and adult addictions, a physician, a doctor of pharmacy, a master’s in social work, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, a dietician and a registered nurse.
Student Activities Available
Because the focus of the facility is on recovery and intense therapy for the girls residing at Sweetwater Adolescent Girls Program, activities are minimal and are designed to help the girls progress on the road to recovery.
