Grove School is a therapeutic boarding school for teens with social and emotional issues. The academic, clinical and residential components of treatment ensure that teenage boys and girls who reside here grow and develop into healthy and happy adults. The co-ed structured environment of Grove School is located on 90 acres and is designed to help teens suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD, depression, OCD, ODD, eating disorders, Tourette’s Syndrome, NVLD/Asperger’s Syndrome, PTSD, learning disabilities and more. Academically, the school offers accredited programs for grades 7-12 with a focus on college prep.
Licensed Faculty at School
Among the caring staff and faculty at Grove School, there are many licensed workers. In the clinical department, there are four Ph.D.’s and six licensed therapists. The school also employs an advanced practice registered nurse. The academic arm of the school includes 30 content and special education certified teachers and teacher’s assistants.
Student Activities Available
Extracurricular activities include more than 20 clubs that encompass fine arts, performing arts, music lessons, yoga, horseback riding, running, tennis, boxing, and rock climbing. The local fitness center encourages health and wellness among the students. Weekend activities might include movies, concerts and other community events if students are eligible.
