Parenting teenagers, even under the best of circumstances is never an easy task. Teens test boundaries, make mistakes and sometimes have little respect for their parents. Teens with ODD experience these normal teenage behaviors but may have a harder time living with them. Sometimes ODD can lead to a more severe disorder known as Conduct Disorder. Left untreated and combined with other personality disorders, oppositional defiant disorder may lead to a lifetime of behavioral complications and personality disorders.
